3-(2-Alkylthio-6-benzothiazolylaminomethyl)-6-bromo-2-benzothiazolinones and their antimicrobial activity

Abstract: 3-(2-Alkylthio-6-benzothiazolylaminomethyl)-6-bromo-2-benzothiazolinones were synthesized from 6-bromo-3-hydroxymethyl-2-benzothiazolinone and 2-alkylthio-6-aminobenzothiazoles (alkyl = methyl to n-nonyl, isopropyl, allyl, cyclopentyl, and benzyl). Majority of the tested compounds exhibit antifungal, antialgal, and antiprotozoal activity.
