Salicylidene-2-iminobenzohydroxamic acid and its analytical application

Abstract:  This paper deals with preparation and analytical properties of the new agent — the salicylidene-2-iminobenzohydroxamic acid. The dissociation constants were determined and the mechanism of complex formation with Fe(III) of the new agent was studied. Further, the possibility of use of this agent for the proof of cations and as a chelometric indicator for Fe(III) was investigated.
