Synthesis and antimicrobial properties of 2-(2,4-dinitrophenylthio)benzimidazole derivatives

Abstract:  Properties and reactions of 2-(2,4-dinitrophenylthio)benzimidazole with mineral acids as well as alkylating and acylating reagents are described. Antifungal and antimycobacterial tests with the prepared compounds are presented.
