Study on nickel(II) and cadmium(II) chelates with salicylaldehydethiosemicarbazone by extraction

Abstract: The formation of Ni(II) and Cd(II) chelates with salicylaldehyde thiosemicarbazone in 0.1 M-NaClO₄-cyclohexanone was studied by extn. photometry and at. absorption spectrophotometry. The distribution coeff. of the reagent was detd. For Ni(II) and Cd(II) chelates with salicylaldehyde thiosemicarbazone, the regions of optimum extn. and extn. consts. were detd. From the exptl. data, the stability consts. for metal chelates and the ratio of reacting components were calcd.
