Reexamination of the application of linear free energy relationships to the azaheterocyclic systems. II. Substituent effects on the basicity of benzazines

Abstract: The pK_a values of all quinolines, isoquinolines, quinazolines, quinoxalines, pteridines, and acridines are submitted to correlations according to both the Hammett and two-parameter Taft equations. The substituent effects on the basicity of those systems are discussed.
