Abstract:  Fluorenone radical anion prepared by electrolysis has been studied by quantum chemical methods and experimentally by u.v. spectroscopy. The quality and concentration effects of supporting electrolyte as well as the effect of solvent polarity, addition of proton-donor agent, and temperature on the formation of fluorenone associates with cations of supporting electrolyte have been investigated.
