Background correction in emission spectrochemistry. I. Correlation between the spectral lines and their background

Abstract:  The background correction in the emission spectrochemistry is discussed. The possibility of finding the optimal distance between the analytical line and the background measuring position on the basis of statistical calcu­lations is investigated.
