Reactions of 2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1,3-phenalenedione anion with halohydrocarbons and ethyl monohaloacetate

Abstract:  Reactions of 2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-l,3-phenalenedione anion with ethyl monohaloacetate and monohydrocarbons луеге carried out. I t was found t h a t О and С derivatives were formed during these reactions. The C/O ratio depended on the nature of the used solvents (DMFA, DMSO, acetonitrile, acetone, ethanol, butanol). The greatest quantity of С derivative was obtained in DMFA and DMSO. The validity of Kornblum rule was confirmed.
