Isothiocyanates. XLII. Synthesis of 3-isothiocyanatophenyl alkyl sulfides and sulfones

Abstract: A series of 3-isothiocyanatophenyl alkyl sulfides and sulfones has been prepared from the appropriate ammonium salts by thiophosgene method. Their infrared and ultraviolet spectra have been recorded and are interpreted in this work.
