Abstract: On the basis of the planned experiment of orthogonal type the influence
of an amine activator of polymerization (triethylenetetramine) and of an
emulsifier (Mersol H) on the formation of polystyrene initiated by peroxides
of the ozonized isotactic powdered polypropylene at 35°C is investigated.
The interaction character of both components of the system has been proved.
Triethylenetetramine, depending on the emulsifier content works
at lower concentrations as a polymerization activator; at higher concentrations
the polymerization rate gradually decreases. The higher concentrations
of emulsifier are more favourable for the formation of polymer in the presence
of triethylenetetramine. The results are correlated also with the
influence of these components on the decomposition of hydroperoxides of
the ozonized polypropylene.
