Titrimetric determination of fluoride ions

Abstract: A method for determination of fluoride ions by titration with thorium nitrate using methylthymol blue as metalochromic indicator was devised. All interfering admixtures were removed by distillation. The influence of pH, natrium chloride, sulfate ion and of the amount of indicator used in titration were determined. The procedure was applied in the range of concentrations up to 100  μg F^- in 50 ml.
