Conditions of Isolation of Lipids from Yeast

Abstract: A comparison of the efficiency of several methods for lipid extraction from yeast was made. None of the tested methods enables to isolate total lipids by one step extraction. A two step extraction procedure enabling quantitative determination of total yeast lipids was elaborated.
