Separation of O-trimethylsilyl- and O-methyl-derivatives of monosaccharides by gas-liquid chromatography

Abstract: The conditions for the gas chromatographic sepn. of O-trimethylsilyl- and O-methyl derivs. of monosaccharides on a stationary phase of the polyester of 1,4-butanediol succinate were described. The elution time of Me ethers are analogous to tri-Me ethers and are dependent on the amt. of the stationary phase and on the silica which is a carrier. Me ethers of saccharides on the 10% stationary phase at 170-180° and tri-Me ethers of saccharides at 155-165°.
