The determination of radiocesium in biological material

Abstract: A method for the detn. of ¹³⁷Cs in urine and water was described. After adding Cs carrier (CsCl or CsNO,), Cs is pptd. as Cs-Ni(II) ferrocyanide together with K-Ni(II) ferrocyanide. After combustion, the ash is extd. with H₂O, acidified with HCl, and Cs pptd. with tungstosilicic acid. The yields were 60-85%.
