Conductometric determination of free acids in polyester resins

Abstract: A conductometric detn. of free maleic and phthalic acids in polyester resins is described. This method proved suitable in detg. the degree of the condensation reaction in the finished product. The difference in the values detd. by visual titration with NaOH with phenol-phthalein and by conductometric detn. is the ester acidity.
