Abstract: cis-3,6-Endomethylene-1,2,3,6-tetrahydrophthalimide (I) with HCHO forms N-hydroxymethyl-cis-3,6-endomethylene-1,2,3,6-tetrahydrophthalimide, m. 143-5°. With NHEt₂, piperidine, and morpholine, I and HCHO form N-diethylaminomethyl-, colorless liquid, decomp. on vacuum distn., N-piperidinomethyl-, m. 73-5°, and N-morpholinomethyl-cis-3,6-endomethylene-1,2,3,6-tetrahydrophthalimide, m. 134-6°.
