Abstract: In very pure solns. of Zn and Cd and in the analyses of distd. H₂O, traces of Cu²⁺ were detd. by a photometric method with Pb diethyldithiocarbamate (Sedivec and Vas´ak, C.A. 46, 11025a). By max. improvement in filtration at lower wave lengths and by changing of ratio in vol. of CHCl₃ the sensitivity of the method was increased to PD = 9.4.
