Abstract: In this paper the process of a nonisothermal one-component sorption in a single adsorbent particle is studied. Nine models of various complexity are described making it possible to calculate the transients of average values of dimensionless adsorbate concentration and dimensionless temperature rise in particle during an adsorption process. It is shown that in most practical cases the model can be used in which both film resistances and intraparticle resistance against mass transfer are included.
